WE WON! :)

152 spectators had found their way to Bathurst City Football Stadium, despite the heavy rain. Bathurst started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Bandalli - Jetson, Penniworth, Seymour, Lacey - Chung-Faye, Detta, Plant, Ayling, Afaeaki - Kullar.

Plains had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Baines - Hughes, Pomgia, Jeacock - Raftery, Timou, Tanner, Butler - Williams, Goodman, Cuerden.

Plains´s Otis Tanner gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead in the 23rd minute with a superb strike from the right.

In the 26:th minute Sanford Detta went down in a suspected penalty situation after a challenge from the visitors right guard, but the referee, having a good line of sight, signalled to keep on playing.

Tewano Seymour received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly, probably out of lack of experience, in the 39:th minute and almost caused an opponent to score.

Samuel Kullar put his head to a well placed ball lifted in from the left and scored the 1 - 1 goal in the 40:th minute.

The referee showed Bathursts Bailey Penniworth the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.

The teams went for a half-time break at 1 - 1. Bathurst held the ball, with a clear 69 percent possession rate.

-- Half Time --

The 57:th minute saw the home team take a 2 - 1 lead after a leak in the visitors right side defense. Scorer for Bathurst was Joshua Chung-Faye.

In the 59:th minute Plainss Ari Hughes received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.

A speedy charge from the left side of the field put Bathurst lead up with 3 - 1. Samuel Kullar finished that one off competently, firing from an acute angle.

Bathurst made a substitution in the 79:th minute. Malcolm Jetson limped off the field and was replaced by Nicholas Chaudhury.

Bathurst, bringing the final ball possession rate to 85 percent, dominated the battle.

Most important Bathurst player was Nicholas Chaudhury. Monroe Bandalli on the other hand, had a terrible day. Plains´s best player was Ari Hughes. However, Keith Baines made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 1.
