The cast of Monty Python's Flying Circus, shortly before the death of Graham Chapman. Back: Eric Idle, John Cleese and Graham Chapman. Front: Terry Jones, Michael Palin and Terry Gilliam
The Monty Python team is set for a television comeback with a new six-part series.
American broadcaster PBS will air the new series which is a compilation of new and old footage from the iconic British comedy troupe, a spokesman for the network said.
Each one of the five remaining Python members - John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Michael Palin and Terry Jones - will write and present an episode each.
The five remaining members will collaborate for the sixth episode which is dedicated to the late Graham Chapman.
Monty Python's Personal Best will air in the US next year although no deal has yet been struck to broadcast the series in Australia and Britain.
